Made to be heard

FENRIS A5 hits a pretty useful sweet spot. The 5.25” woofer and carefully tuned cabinet give music, movies and games plenty of weight and punch, without requiring a pair of enormous speakers in the middle of your living room. There’s enough bass to give drums some proper impact, enough detail to keep voices and instruments clear, and enough power to turn things up when the occasion calls for it.

And because speakers tend to spend quite a lot of time sitting in plain sight, we gave FENRIS a clean Scandinavian design that’s easy to live with too. Simple lines, magnetic front grilles and just enough detail to keep things interesting. In other words, it’s made to sound like a proper stereo system while fitting seamlessly into any modern home.

An abundance of connections

Your TV, turntable, phone and everything in between can all call FENRIS A5 home. HDMI ARC lets you connect your TV and keep using the remote you already have. There’s a built-in phono input for your turntable, Bluetooth for all the wireless stuff, plus optical and analogue inputs for anything else you want to throw at it.

A5 automatically powers up and switches between connected sources too, so going from a movie to a record or a playlist doesn’t need to become an evening project. No separate amplifier. No pile of boxes. Just connect what you use and get on with listening.

We did the complicated bit

There’s quite a lot happening inside FENRIS A5, even if using it is deliberately simple. The built-in digital amplifier has four channels, allowing the woofer and tweeter to be powered separately. An active crossover then controls which frequencies go where, while advanced DSP lets us fine-tune the whole system around the drivers, amplifier and cabinet.

Because we design the important bits to work together from the start, we can get more out of them than we could by simply assembling a collection of off-the-shelf parts. The result is a smooth, balanced and full-bodied sound with plenty of control when you turn it up. That’s the technical explanation, anyway. Your part is considerably easier: plug it in and press play.
