TT MK2 BT

We love vinyl and turntables, which may well be the most emotional and most analogue of all media. So we understand that building a Bluetooth transmitter into a turntable raises some eyebrows. The reason is simple: you can’t always place the turntable in the perfect spot, and running cables from it to your audio system isn’t always possible. A wireless connection like Bluetooth offers a good solution.

A Bluetooth transmitter also lets you stream audio to your Bluetooth headphones for late-night listening sessions, for dancing while you clean, or whenever you want to enjoy music completely untethered.

Vinyl is an analogue medium, so the best connection is still a cable that carries the analogue signal. We built a high-quality Qualcomm Bluetooth transmitter into the TT MK2 BT, with a focus on connection stability and sound quality. It adds convenience when it comes to placement or when streaming to wireless Bluetooth devices such as headphones. Under ideal conditions, the wireless connection should sound nearly identical to a cable connection, but actual sound quality can vary with the wireless environment.

We therefore recommend using the included cable when the turntable is placed near your audio system, and Bluetooth when you want to use Bluetooth devices or when the turntable’s position only allows a wireless connection.

The TT MK2 BT can store up to five Bluetooth devices in its memory, so you can pair it with several devices, such as Bluetooth speakers, portable speakers or headphones. Please note that it can only transmit to one device at a time.

On start-up, the TT MK2 BT tries to connect to the device it was last connected to. If successful, it plays music on that device. If not, it tries the next device in its memory.

Yes. This turntable features a built-in phono preamplifier (RIAA) that can be switched ON or OFF using the switch on the rear panel.

Choose the correct setting for your setup:

• RIAA ON → Connect the turntable to an AUX, LINE IN, or any other line-level input on an amplifier or a pair of active speakers.
• RIAA OFF → Connect the turntable to a PHONO input or to an external phono preamplifier.

We recommend using only the original Audio-Technica AT3600L stylus and cartridge with this turntable.

This model features a fixed anti-skating adjustment that has been factory-calibrated specifically for the AT3600L. Installing a different cartridge may result in suboptimal tracking performance and sound quality, as the anti-skating cannot be adjusted to match a different cartridge.

If you're looking for a turntable that allows you to upgrade or experiment with different cartridges in the future, we recommend choosing one of our higher-end models with adjustable tonearm settings.

You can connect the TT MK2 BT directly to a pair of active (powered) speakers or to an amplifier/receiver with passive speakers. An RCA cable is included for easy connection.

This TT MK2 features a built-in phono preamplifier (RIAA) that can be switched ON or OFF using the switch on the rear panel.

Choose the correct setting depending on your setup:

• RIAA OFF → Connect the TT MK2 to a PHONO input.
• RIAA ON → Connect the TT MK2 to an AUX, LINE IN, or any other line-level input.

For Argon Audio active speakers or amplifiers

If you're using an Argon Audio amplifier or a pair of Argon Audio active speakers with a PHONO input, we recommend setting the turntable's RIAA to OFF and connecting it to the PHONO input. The built-in phono stage in these products uses higher-quality components than the turntable's internal preamplifier, delivering the best possible sound quality.

To connect it via Bluetooth, put your receiving device (speakers, headphones or stereo system) into pairing mode. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the turntable for 2 seconds. The LED ring blinks fast, indicating pairing mode. The turntable will connect to the strongest Bluetooth pairing signal in its surroundings. If the audio system offers a screen or device selection, select the turntable. Once connected, the LED ring is solid blue.

Setting up the TT MK2 BT only takes a few minutes:

• Place the turntable on a stable, level surface.
• Remove all packaging materials and transport protection.
• Insert the sub-platter into the spindle located in the center of the turntable.
• Remove the protective packaging from the tonearm and cartridge.
• Loop the drive belt around the sub-platter.
• Carefully place the main platter onto the sub-platter.
• Place the slip mat on top of the platter.
• Carefully remove the cartridge protection cap.
• Gently push and rotate the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm.
• Lower the tonearm lift and position the cartridge between the tonearm rest and the platter.
• Carefully rotate the counterweight until the tonearm is balanced and level. The tonearm should now "float" horizontally.
• Return the tonearm to its rest and secure it.
• Without moving the counterweight itself, rotate the tracking force scale ring until the "0" aligns with the reference line on the tonearm.
• Now rotate both the counterweight and the scale ring together towards the tonearm pivot to apply the correct tracking force.
• The recommended tracking force for the factory-fitted cartridge is 2.5–3.5 g. Since the scale only goes up to 2 g, continue rotating the counterweight by an additional 0.5–1.5 g.
• Carefully install the dust cover onto the hinge mounts.
• Connect the turntable to your amplifier or active speakers using the included RCA cable or an equivalent cable.
• Set the built-in RIAA switch to match your setup:
• ON if connecting to an AUX, LINE IN, or other line-level input.
• OFF if connecting to a PHONO input or an external phono preamplifier.
• Connect the power supply.
• Turn on the turntable using the power switch on the rear panel.
• To connect it via Bluetooth, put your receiving device (speakers, headphones or stereo system) into pairing mode.
• Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the turntable for 2 seconds. The LED ring blinks fast, indicating pairing mode.
• The turntable will connect to the strongest Bluetooth pairing signal in its surroundings. If the audio system offers a screen or device selection, select the turntable.
• Once connected, the LED ring is solid blue.
