Don't miss a thing

We’ve packed SOLO full of features so you’ll never need another streamer. Nice, right? With SOLO you get AirPlay2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth and Roon Ready. We’ll continue to update SOLO with new features as well, so if anything new and exciting comes along, we’ll be sure to add it in a future update – completely free of course. With analogue, optical and coaxial outputs, connection SOLO to anything should be a breeze.

Audiophile sound quality

In designing the SOLO, we made sure to make a product that would make audiophiles happy, but at a price where everyone can get in on the fun. With a signal-to-noise ratio of over 120 dBA, 64 bit volume control and high end components where they really make a difference (but not where they don’t), you can be sure you’ll hear every detail of your favorite songs. Having separate low noise power supplies with two stage (active/passive) filtering might sound like mumbo jumbo but have a listen to SOLO and we promise you can hear the difference.

Rock solid wireless connection

Making a product without an Ethernet connection is a bold move. To make sure you don’t get drop outs, we’ve designed the wireless connection on SOLO with powerful dual band AC Wi-Fi using diversity antennas. You should have no problem with 24 bit/192 kHz lossless playback over Wi-Fi if your own network is up to the task. The internal Wi-Fi antennas have been placed so that the area with analogue circuits is completely radio-dead, while at the same time covering 360 degrees around the product.

"When using the analogue output, you may notice that the music quality is slightly inferior compared to that of expensive high-end streamers, but given the price point, it's impossible to criticize the Argon Audio SOLO for anything. It works well, is easy to set up, and functions without any problems, without requiring any digital maintenance. If you want to maximize its potential, combine it with an external digital converter or connect it digitally to one of your amplifier's or receiver's digital inputs. Doing so will significantly improve the overall sound quality and exceed the value of the product for the price paid."

"The Argon Audio SOLO lives up to its promise of easy audio streaming without any fuss, which is still unfortunately uncommon in the world of streaming devices. The SOLO offers a particularly wide range of streaming options, including AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth, providing something for every music lover out there. With Roon Ready capability, even the most discerning audiophile will be satisfied."

"Argon Audio SOLO is a simple and well-functioning streaming device, that can upgrade an existing amplifier with wireless audio streaming in HD quality. It is easy and hassle-free to use – and neat and discreet enough to be accepted into even critically curated interiors. In terms of sound; it manages better than its price suggests."

"The Argon Audio SOLO does everything right! Its only minor shortcoming, the lack of an Ethernet socket, can be tolerated in most cases. The SOLO is a versatile upgrade option for existing hi-fi systems and active loudspeakers at an affordable price, and it performs its job seamlessly in the background. It is also Roon Ready and delivers great sound quality. In short, it's an amazing device!"

"The SOLO is a compact streamer that may not meet every user's expectations. It requires a stable Wi-Fi connection and lacks USB access. However, it has a lot to offer in terms of sound quality. At a price point of only 250 Euros for a Roon Ready streamer, the Solo is a real steal!"

SOUND RATING: 100 POINTS | PRICE/PERFORMANCE: OUTSTANDING

Read review (German)

"It's amazing how much quality can be achieved these days for only 249 euros. To make this possible, Argon Audio had to streamline costs, and in our opinion, they've succeeded. If you're an old-fashioned audiophile who's still loyal to physical media, a solution like this could bring a breath of fresh air, or rather "audiophile liquidity," to your Hi-Fi system. In short, at this price point, the Argon Audio SOLO manages to offer excellent sound quality."

Read review (Italian)

"The sound quality of the SOLO is at a level I wouldn't have believed possible for sub-€500 streamers until recently. It may not be the most dynamic or analytically detailed device, but it makes up for it with a mature, minimally distanced, and very pleasing sound that is both relaxed and authoritative, clean and undistorted, and spatially expansive. It features Bluetooth, AirPlay, and Roon Ready compatibility, making it quite versatile, if not fully maxed out. The optics, hands-on controls, and industrial design are all exceptional for the price point. The Argon Audio SOLO is not just an add-on or an upgrade path for existing models from the brand; it's a true price-to-performance sensation at this price."
