Pure performance and Danish design
We know that many other headphones on the market can do everything for you, just short of making you a cup of coffee. With complicated apps, firmware updates, multiple features you’ll never use and numerous EQ settings available, we think it can be quite a jungle to find a set of headphones that just perform well when you want to listen to some music.
Engineered and voiced in Denmark by Argon Audio’s chief engineer, the OE40 has been specifically designed to support a wide range of ears and music tastes. From Dire Straits to Lizzo, we promise you that the OE40s will bring the goods! Still think you need some noise cancellation? Just turn up the volume!

Since all our battery power can be used just to drive the headphones, we’ve been able to squeeze a whopping 24 hours of battery time when playing music (depending on how loud you want to go, of course) and a maximum of 250 hours in standby time. This means, that if you just remember to charge the OE40s occasionally, they should always be ready for action. If not, a full charge only takes 3 hours, using a regular USB-C charger.
The design of the OE40 is based on the idea of creating a wearable product with modern aesthetics, refined details, simplicity in focus, and with a clean and timeless expression. The main shape, including earcup and earpads, is circular and inspired from the form of the torus. This iconic element adds a certain recognizable character to the product that quietly catches your eye.
"It was important for me to create a modern and timeless design expression that can last for many years ahead. Another focus point was to design a wearable product that would appeal to a wide audience. Simplicity has been a key element throughout the development of all parts of this product. The OE40 has no visible screws, and we've invested a lot of energy in every little detail during the design and engineering process. The earpads are made of natural lamb skin, and for sustainability reasons you can change these if they get worn out over the years." says designer Martin Lauritsen.
