To update the speakers, please do the following:
- Unzip the file and put the "ota.bin" file on an empty USB drive (MAX 32 GB - formatted as FAT32)*. Remember to "eject" it properly before removing it from the computer
- Plug it into the USB port on the back of the speaker
- Turn on the speaker and hold the mute-button for 8 seconds
- The LED on the speaker will now start blinking to indicate it is updating
- Once it has stopped blinking, please unplug the power cable, disconnect the USB drive and wait 5 seconds before turning on the speaker again. It's now updated!
Mac: How To Format Your USB Drive to FAT32
Step 1: Insert a USB drive into a USB port.
Step 2: Navigate to Applications > Utilities, and click it twice to open it.
Step 3: Select the drive you want to format and click on Erase.
Step 4: Rename the USB drive (optional), and choose the MS-DOS(FAT) for format
Step 5: Select Master Boot Record for scheme, hit Erase
Step 6: Once the process is done, you are ready to use the drive with FAT32 file system to save data
All files on the USB flash drive will be deleted during the convert process with format feature, so please back up your files first if you have data inside originally.
Windows: How To Format Your USB Drive to FAT32
Step 1: Insert a USB drive into a USB port.
Step 2A: Type and search 'This PC' in the Windows search bar, then click Open.
Step 2B: Open File Explorer. Click on 'This PC' from the left pane.
Step 3: Under the "Devices and drives" section, right-click the flash drive and select the Format option.
Step 4: Select File system to 'FAT32', then click Start.
Step 5: A notice appeared to remind that all data on the USB flash drive will be deleted. Click OK to start formatting your USB flash drive.
Step 6: The format process is completed and your USB flash drive has been converted to FAT32. Click OK to close the window.
